Got up early again, and witnessed the Celtics give the Lakers a thrashing, dominating like a Dutch football team. Never seen anything like it in the NBA.

This evening I went to practice with US, heren 4-6. The level wasn’t very high, so I could keep up pretty easily. Good workout though, my body was feeling it at the end. There were some higher level teams playing on the other court. I was a bit jealous: I wish I could play at that level. Maybe later? I’m motivated enough.

Just got back from some the Apollo hall. They organized so-called pickup games there, meaning you can just show up and play. I was a bit intimidated at first. Fransisco Elson was playing, so was Tamien Trent and a bunch of others I know from the Dutch Eredivisie. Luckily there was a court where some BVA-ers were playing, that were at a level closer to mine. Nice guys. I held my own on the court, I think.

Bleurghh! I’ve got such a headache. Maybe the effect of dehydration from playing basketball at the Museumplein yesterday without a drink? After that I went to play rollersoccer and again didn’t bring enough to drink. To top it up I had a glass of wine with dinner, which knocked me out completely. That taught me a lesson! Drink water, stupid!

Playing basketball was fun though. Need to work on my offense. I’m jealous of the guys who can take it strong to the hoop. Not to mention the tall ones that can just dunk it in. Tomorrow there are pickup games at the Apollohall. I’m gonna give that a shot as well. And of course there’s what could be the last game in the NBA finals.

I was planning on going to the Roots festival in the Oosterpark today, but with how I’m feeling now, I’m not so sure. Maybe just for a bit?

Watched an amazing Celtics comeback this morning. Wow, LA has got its job cut out for themselves.

Next up: the football match against France. I’m gonna stay home this time, don’t feel like smoking.

This should be a twitter, doesn’t really qualify as a post, but I just can’t be bothered with Twitter anymore.

I’m looking to play competition basketball again. It’s been ages since I’ve done that, but recently my interest in the game has skyrocketed, although I’ve always loved it.

From the AMVJ website I learned that I’m now no longer even a “senior”, but a “veteran”. Ouch!
